SIM-B Range – Silent In-Line Mixed Flow Fans

Silent in-line mixed flow fans provide unique advantages, combining benefits of both axial and centrifugal fans. The SIM-B range are capable of generating the strength and airflow of a centrifugal fan with the compact size of an axial fan, as well as the ability to find an effective compromise between static pressure and flow rate. The SIM-B range has the unique benefit of sound insulating material, ensuring low noise ventilation. This means the SIM-B range can be used in environments requiring ventilation in which silence is also integral, such as libraries and hospitals. This ensures the usefulness and importance of the SIM-B range to a wide variety of applications. As a silent in-line fan, the SIM-B range is constructed for easy duct installation and is capable of generating effective ventilation at a low power.
This fan is powered by an efficient motor with an IP44 rating. This means the motor is protected from objects and parts greater than 1mm in length, and splash water. Each motor is single phase and has two motor poles, therefore generating a large RPM and low torque.
This silent in-line mixed flow fan is offered in four different sizes, ranging from a 150mm to a 315mm diameter. This offers a wide variety of choice regarding the desired flow rate and air pressure, therefore ensuring this range is capable of servicing a number of ends. Further, the range of diameters establishes the fan can be installed in any size of ducting with ease.
The fan casing is constructed from a polymer coated steel and contains 50mm of thermal and sound insulating mineral wool. This reduces noise, insulates the body of the fan, and protects from the unwanted ingress of dirt and water.
