VC-FT Range – Roof Mounted Centrifugal Exhaust Fans

Vertical discharge roof mounted exhaust fans are necessary to a number of contexts which require the ventilation of unwanted fumes and odours, preventing the spread of mould and ensuring a more comfortable and breathable atmosphere. This may include bathrooms, kitchens, and industrial contexts which require ventilation to ensure satisfactory air flow.
The vertical discharge allows for larger amounts of air to be expelled, including some noxious fumes that cannot be discharged horizontally.
Moreover, the high efficiency backward curved impeller is manufactured from aluminium alloy, reducing weight and ensuring longevity due to its resistance to corrosion and reduced load on the structure itself. This distinguishes the VC-FT from the VC-R range, which uses polypropylene impellers. This is driven by an external rotor motor, rated to IP54, meaning the motor ensures protection against dust and splash water, verifying its suitability for both industrial and domestic purposes.
The VC-FT range is available in three different sizes, offering different air pressures, and can be chosen on the basis of what the situation necessitates, the available power source, and the flow rate of air required. Relevant datasheets demonstrate how these specifications differ between the models.
These roof mounted fans are enclosed in a fan casing made from either galvanised and colorbond steel or UV stabilised fibreglass. These are both effective casings which ensure protection from unwanted ingress of water and dirt. Galvanised and colorbond steel is advantageous in its strength and robustness and is galvanised in order to maximise durability. Fibreglass is similarly strong and resistive to corrosion, in addition to being significantly less dense. UV stabilisation further assures the longevity of the casing, by providing protection from long-term degradation from UV light. This provides a particular advantage in the context of roof mounted fans which are consistently exposed to sunlight.
